  • Glaucoma treatment and screening: glaucoma is the number one cause of painless and irreversible blindness in the United States, and it can be treated with early detection and intervention.   • Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) eye screening: this anti-arthritis drug and other high-risk medications such as steroids, ethambutol, INH or isoniazid, and interferon can have serious ocular side effects that should be monitored by an Eye M.D. at regular intervals.
